GIFTED LESSON EXCHANGE

Friday, March 14
8:00 AM, Concord Ballroom

Are you looking for some new lesson ideas to “spice” up your students’ learning? We’re thrilled to be featured as one of the lessons in Brian’s dynamic and fast-paced session! Come learn how you can add a Cooperative activity, in the form of a strategic collaborative AND competitive game, to your repertoire. Our 5-minute demonstration of the Water Falcon game will be high-energy and informative, and we encourage you to download the shields and play it in your classroom!

COOPERATIVE THINKING

Thursday, March 13
10:30 AM, Concord B

Many of the thinking skills we evaluate/nurture for giftedness focus on individual learners. But both school and the real world require collaboration and teamwork. How can educators identify students who excel at cooperative thinking, and how can we push our gifted students to become better at these skills? Join us to learn more about why cooperative thinking is essential to the gifted education experience, and take home effective (read: FUN!) strategies for building it into your curriculum.
